Hardcover. Condition: Very Good-. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition; First Printing. Light gray bare boards, with red titling on front board, ivory textured paper spine cover and very small corner tips. Spine is worn, chipped and head and heel, and cracking along joint. There is some overall soiling, and minor splash marks on boards, shelf rubbing, and corner wear, and a scratch on rear board. Simply put, this has been enjoyed as a coffee table book, and has had a couple run-ins with the coffee. None of this affects the text block. Former owner has noted date of acquision and price paid in dollars on rear pastedown. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall; 13 pages text, 29 engravings pages; Introduction to Canaletto is followed by notes on each of the 29 engravings in the book, which follow the text. This is a solid copy, with clean textblock of a scarce work on the artist.
